TODAY
* We read Fish Mix and How Many Fish?.  We focused on the 3 kinds of ending punctuation:
1. period (.)
Six little fish in the bay.


2. exclamation point (!)
One happy fish on its way!


3. question mark (?)
How many fish?


* We worked with our spelling words and sorted them by the number of letters in each word and practiced using them to complete sentences.


* We continued our Ll letter study.  We sorted pictures and words by those that begin with Ll and those that do not begin with Ll.


We identified these 12 pictures and words that begin with Ll:
1. lion
2. lock
3. lamb
4. ladder
5. leaf
6. lemon
7. lizard
8. leg
9. log
10. letter
11. lips
12. lamp


We identified these 8 pictures and words that do not begin with Ll:
1. five
2. game
3. fan
4. kite
5. goat
6. jar

8. bird


* We sang and filled in missing numbers for a song called How Many?.  These are the words:
How Many?
Crayons, markers, pencil case, pencil case.
Crayons, markers, pencil case, pencil case.
2 crayons, 4 markers, 1 purple pencil case.
How many crayons?  2 crayons.
How many markers?  4 markers.
How many purple pencil cases?  1 purple pencil case.


* We completed these pages:
Phonics Level K pages 88, 89, 91 and 93










HOMEWORK
* Read Fish Mix and How Many Fish? and read the sentences with the 3 types of ending punctuation above.


* Complete the spelling words homework paper.  Our spelling test will be Thursday!


* Read and spell the 12 words above that begin with Ll and the 8 words above that do not begin with Ll.


* Read/Sing the song How Many? above.
