TODAY
* We took our spelling test!  Our 2 challenge words were day and way.


* We read How Many Fish?.


* We read Lon and Ron.


* We focused on the words I, have, go and to and read these 8 sentences:
1. I go to a lake.
2. I have a fishing rod.
3. I have a net.
4. I go to catch a fish.
5. I go to a playground.
6. I have a bat.
7. I have a ball.
8. I go to hit the ball.

* We practiced these singular (1) and plural words (more than 1):

CDs

cell phone
cell phones

video game
video games

computer
computers

* We practiced reading and writing these 4 sentences:
1. It is a video game.
2. They are cell phones.
3. They are CDs.
4. It is a computer.


* We completed these pages:

* We read How Many Fish?.


* We read Lon and Ron.  We worked on the 3 types of ending punctuation:
1. period (.): This is Bob.
2. exclamation point (!): He does not!
3. question mark (?): Will Bob get Lon and Ron?


* We sorted our spelling words by words that rhyme (away, may, play, say, today, they) and words that do not rhyme.


* We practiced using our spelling words in sentences.


* We completed our Nn letter study!


* We completed our review of Dd, Ll and Nn.


* We completed these pages:
Phonics Level pages 102 and 104






HOMEWORK
* Read How Many Fish?.


* Read Lon and Ron and read the 3 sentences above and identify the ending punctuation.


* Our spelling test will be tomorrow!


* Use the Nn packet and Dd/Ll/Nn review paper to study and practice the letters, pictures, sounds and words.

* We read Lon and Ron.  We worked on the -ock words lock and rock and adding "s" to make them locks and rocks.  These are the sentences from our story:
The pigs get big rocks.
They get three big locks.


* We sorted our spelling words by the number of letters in each word and we practiced using them in sentences.


* We continued our Nn letter study.  We sorted pictures and words by those that begin with Nn and those that do not begin with Nn.
